The pub at College Lawn is the perfect spot to gather with friends. The atmosphere is trendy and casual, with different bars and seating areas to choose from. The outdoor spaces are great for enjoying a drink and a meal. The decor, including the hanging plants, adds a nice touch. Speaking of the meals, they are huge and delicious. We were blown away by the portions and everyone in our group loved their food. I highly recommend this place for a fun gathering with friends.
It's worth noting that the shared bathrooms were not very clean and the towel left in our room was not replaced during our stay. The communal kitchen also lacked some facilities and was often untidy.

I chose College Lawn Hotel because of its convenient location near the National Gallery of Victoria. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff who gladly accommodated my seating request during my stay. Additionally, the warm and friendly atmosphere of the pub, lounge bar, and restaurant made my experience even more enjoyable. The hotel's proximity to popular spots on Chapel Street, such as Hawkers Hall and Mr Miyagi, added to the trendy vibe.

The bar and pub offered a fantastic variety of food and drinks, perfect for a night out or a relaxed evening. The location was ideal, with plenty of options for dining and coffee nearby. Oh, and who needs room service or air conditioning in a sweaty summer? Not me, apparently.

Loved the vibrant atmosphere and the variety of seating options. The dinner portions were ridiculously huge! Definitely recommend this place.
Communal showers were not cleaned in the four days I stayed. So refreshing to see the cleaners arrive on the day I left.

The room at College Lawn Hotel was cozy and comfortable, with a shared bathroom that was clean and well-maintained. The bed linen was fresh and crisp, adding to the overall snugness of the room. Plus, the two windows overlooking Perth Street provided a lovely view.
Personally, I would have preferred a private bathroom rather than a shared one, but I understand that others may not mind.

The vibes were off the charts with live music, cheap cocktails, and good times. We partied like rockstars and made memories that will last a lifetime. Plus, being just a short stroll from Greville Street meant we had easy access to all the hottest spots in Melbourne. Highly recommend for a fun-filled getaway with your squad!
If I had to ask for one thing, it would be for even more party options for young people. While the hotel had a great atmosphere, it would have been awesome to have some exclusive events or special experiences just for us party-loving teenagers.

Friendly staff, long check-in delay, no coffee or milk in room, squeaky floors, no ground floor, only stayed 1 night.

The hotel's location on the beer garden below adds to its lively atmosphere. It is conveniently close to the station and easily accessible by tram or train. The hotel is situated in a residential area, giving a more local vibe to the surroundings. The rooms are comfortable and equipped with necessary amenities such as tea and coffee sachets and clean towels.
The cleanliness of the showers leaves much to be desired.
